Cupping or massage with cups is a suitable complementary method of classical massage. It has been known for its healing effects for more than five thousand years. The first mentions of cupping come from Mesopotamia, ancient China, but also from other parts of the world.
The basis of the action of the flask massage is a reflex method, which is based on the creation of congestion, irritating the skin receptors with a vacuum that is created in the flask. As a result of massage with flasks, peripheral circulation of blood, lymph and inter-tissue fluid is improved. The symptoms of congestion are eliminated, the metabolism and respiration of the skin in the massaged part of the body are increased. The skin becomes more elastic, its resistance to temperature and mechanical factors increases, muscle tension improves, their tone and elasticity increases. During the action of vacuum therapy, there is a separation of the extract of the sebaceous sweat glands. In addition to salts, it contains urea, acetone, bile acids, which in certain concentrations are toxic to the organism. Contraindications to massage
We divide into total and partial. In case of health problems, it is necessary to consult a doctor and postpone the massage. If you are unsure about the suitability of a massage, consult your doctor beforehand. In case of general contraindications, massage is not recommended.
General contraindication. The masseur must be informed of the following conditions and diseases:

Partial contraindication (massage can be performed, but with restrictions) in cases of:
- three weeks after taking antibiotics
- women who are menstruating
- pregnant women and 8 weeks after childbirth
- 8 weeks after surgery
- just after a meal (min. 2-3 hours)
